Rental Terms and Conditions
Rental Period
- The minimum rental period is 24 hours. If the scooter is rented for less than 24 hours, the full day rate will still apply.
- Extensions to the rental period must be communicated and approved by the rental agent in advance.
- Exceptions for special cases, such as short-term rentals during promotions, may apply and will be explicitly stated in the booking terms.
Insurance Coverage
- Standard insurance does not cover damages to wheels, undercarriage, windscreen, and the interior of the vehicle.
- Additional insurance options covering such damages will be offered, with availability details provided during booking.
- Insurance becomes invalid in cases of intentional vandalism, neglect, or failure to follow the stipulated conditions (e.g., not reporting an incident promptly).
Fuel Policy
- Scooters must be returned with the same fuel level as at pick-up. If returned with less fuel, penalties or charges will apply based on the rates of the rental company, with specific amounts outlined in the rental agreement.
- Excess fuel will not be reimbursed.
Scooter Usage
- Scooters may only be used on paved public roads.
- Riding outside designated zones or provinces is prohibited unless explicitly agreed upon during booking.
- Scooters cannot be taken across international borders.
Age and Experience
- Renters must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driving license for the scooter category being rented.
- Standard rules will apply uniformly, without distinctions for different scooter classes at this stage.
Required Documents
- Renters must provide a valid passport and a corresponding International Driving Permit (IDP) or a license valid for use in Thailand, Indonesia.
Booking and Payment
- A deposit of 15-20% of the total rental cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining amount is paid directly to the rental agent at pick-up.
- Deposit payments may be made via card or in cash, depending on the rental agent’s policy.
Cancellation and Modifications
- Free cancellation is allowed up to 7 days before the rental period starts. For luxury scooters or special categories, a 30-day notice is required.
- Refunds are subject to a payment service fee (6% of the amount paid).
- Cancellations or modifications less than 7 days prior will result in a forfeiture of the deposit.
- Modifications require canceling the original reservation and creating a new one.
Pet Policies
- Pets, including service animals, are not allowed on scooters for safety and compliance reasons.
Service Standards
- In case of breakdowns or unavailability, the rental company must provide a replacement scooter of the same or higher class at the same terms and price.
- Zoomy assumes no responsibility for service quality or compliance issues; renters must contact the rental agent directly.
Compliance with Local Laws
- Renters are fully responsible for any traffic violations, fines, fuel charges, parking fees, and tolls incurred during the rental period.
- Renters agree to comply with all applicable local laws and regulations while using the rental scooter.
- Zoomy acts solely as an intermediary and is not liable for renter actions or penalties.
Additional Services
- Optional add-ons such as helmets, navigation systems, and delivery services will be introduced progressively.
Platform Terms
- By placing an order through Zoomy, renters confirm acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them. Zoomy’s role is explicitly as an intermediary connecting renters and scooter owners.
- The rental process and related terms are governed by the Offer to Execute Scooter Rental Booking Agreement, which forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions. By using the Zoomy platform, you acknowledge and accept the terms of the referenced Agreement, available electronically during the booking process or upon request.

General
- For all questions concerning vehicle condition, service quality, or other issues, renters must contact the rental agent as detailed in the booking confirmation email.
